After spending years studying Buddhist teachings and meditation practices, Danish-born Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah were authorized by their teachers to make Diamond Way Buddhism accessible to the Western world.
Since 1972 they have founded about six hundred Buddhist Centres worldwide. With directness and humour, Lama Ole Nydahl shows the spontaneous freshness of resting in one’s mind.
Diamond Way Buddhism represents the most widespread approach to practicing Buddhism outside the traditionally Buddhist countries today. It mainly focuses on meditation and transmission of knowledge from teacher to student, and especially emphasizes personal responsibility.
The lecture has been organised by the Perth Diamond Way Buddhist Centre located at 31 McCoy st Melville.
The Melville Centre’s weekly program includes: Introductory explanations about Buddhism at 8pm Monday and Wednesday’s followed by a guided meditation.
