For the past five years the members of Diamond Way Perth have participated in a Spring retreat for a long weekend of sharing, meditating and enjoying each others company away from the usual distractions of our everyday lives. We usually choose a beach-side venue. For the past few years we have hired two houses at Yanchep, a small beach resort an hour drive north of Perth. This has worked well using one house for meditation and the other for eating and socializing. The costs of accommodation and meals were shared between the participants.

Monday, Feb. 7th, 2011 Lama Ole's response to the recent floods in Australia

Buddhists around the world have certainly noticed your catastrophe and we are many who would have wished to come and help. If there is still work to do in March, when I will visit your noble country, I hope to be of some use. Certainly friends and students of mine are already active. Of course, I make best wishes for people and their property.
