Sunday, May. 9th, 2010 Australian Centres Recite 1,000,000 Mantras

At the request of H.H. the 17th Karmapa Trinlay Thaye Dorje, Diamond Way Buddhist centres around Australia have started reciting the mantra of compassion – om mani peme hung.

In a letter to all Kagyu students, H.H. asked that every dharma centre in the world recite the mantra of Loving Eyes (Chenrezig), the Buddha of compassion (shown at left), one million times, and dedicate the merit to the recent victims of natural disasters, and for the benefit of all beings.

Sunday, Apr. 25th, 2010 Perth Centre moves to Melville

The Diamond Way Buddhist Association of Western Australia (DWBAWA) would like to announce that it has relocated to 31 McCoy St Melville. The new premises functions as a live in centre and will keep the current program of Meditations on Monday and Wednesday nights at 8pm.

Wednesday, Mar. 17th, 2010 Meditation Cushion Fundraiser

To raise money to fund travel teachers coming to Cairns, the Diamond Way Group Cairns is selling meditation cushions.

All Meditation Cushions are individually hand made by volunteers and filled with Australian Organically grown buckwheat husk.

Sunday, Dec. 27th, 2009 End of Year dinner and shut down

Christmas and the end of the year was marked with an Indonesian feast at Mahamudra House on December 19. The Canberra sangha celebrated the year together and the centre will now be closed until Monday January 11 when our regular weeknight meditation sessions will begin again.

Monday, Nov. 30th, 2009 South Coast Retreat

Members of the Canberra and Sydney centre gathered at 'The Pines' at Tuross Heads on the south coast for a weekend retreat on November 27 to 29. Chris and Alisa organised a great weekend with lots of meditation sessions, teachings and group cooking sessions - all still with plenty of time to enjoy the beach. This was the first retreat we've done at Tuross Heads and everyone enjoyed so much we're going to do it again next year.
