Buddhist Meditation Centres of the Karma Kagyu Lineage

Diamond Way Buddhism Coolum Beach is one of more than 650 international Buddhist centres of the Karma Kagyu Lineage, under the spiritual guidance of the 17th Karmapa Trinlay Thaye Dorje and founded by Lama Ole NydahlThe meditation centre is run and maintained through the idealism of friends who meditate together.

We meet every Thursday at 6:00pm for now at a private home in Coolum Beach. Everyone is welcome to join for a 10-15 minutes talk about Diamond Way Buddhism with time for questions, followed by a guided meditation. We usually finish by 7:00pm. You don't need to bring anything, and there's no cost.

Buddhist teacher Axel Dross

Axel was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1969. He first took refuge with Lama Ole in 1999 and co-founded Diamond Way in Argentina in 2001. He was active in establishing Karma Dechen Ling, a Buddhist retreat center in Uruguay, and is editor of the Spanish language Buddhism Today magazine. He currently lives with his wife and son in Argentina. Lama Ole asked him to teach Buddhism in 2005 and since then he has travelled to teach throughout the Americas; including Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Brazil and the USA. This is his first time in Australia.
