About this event
Please join us for a public talk about Buddhism by Grisha Serebriani (Russia).
In this session, Grisha will be speaking about how one can integrate Buddhist teachings and meditation into our everyday life, providing the tools we need to transform the emotional ups and downs we experience into a state of awareness and wisdom. As our disturbing feelings dissolve, we are able to experience the true nature of mind more and more: a state of space and bliss inseparable.
The Diamond Way opens the most skillful methods of the Buddha to the modern world. Using them one learns to experience the world from a rich and self-liberating viewpoint.
Its meditations develop deep inner richness and lead to a joyful and an unwavering mind. They help us to discover and finally unfold all our enlightened qualities for the benefit of all beings as well as ourselves.
Grisha was born in 1956 in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) in the former USSR. He initially trained as a Hydroacoustic engineer at the Leningrad State Shipbuilding Institute and later as a stage director at the Leningrad State Academy of Theater and Cinema, where he is now a professor teaching actors of the stage and screen. He took Buddhist refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl in 1989.
From that time on he has been involved in a lot of dharma activities, including as the tour coordinator for Diamond Way Teachers in Russia. Lama Ole asked him to teach in 1999, and since then he has taught in Diamond Way centres in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, throughout Europe, in Israel and in Latin America.
